I’m not going to lie – I have a pretty tragic love/hate relationship with this recipe. Tonight I finally made a version that was pretty good. I love the creaminess of this one and the bread crumbs on top add a little bit of texture and tastiness that makes a big difference. I use White […]
Recipes
I love recipes. I have a cookbook addiction and I probably get 6-7 cooking magazines every month. I love food, and I love great recipes. Here you’ll find some great options to put a quick meal on the table, or a great recipe for Sunday dinner or entertaining. I live in a fairly rural area, and our grocery stores don’t promote gourmand tastes. Simple ingredients, great and easy techniques, lead to fabulous meals. Give them a try and please feel free to leave a comment!
Homemade Chicken Potsticker Recipe
I love asian food. I love potstickers. I hate buying frozen potstickers because they taste like freezer. Ick. I finally decided to get brave and try to make my own. With the pre-made and pre-cut wonton wrappers, this was a really, an easy, if a bit fussy, task. We’ve talked before – I’m not a […]

Thai-Style Lettuce Wraps

Homemade Paleo Salad Dressings
First, don’t despair – I am not a paleo addict – I think the principles behind it are interesting, but some of their “eat this-don’t eat that” rules bother me – example? Organic butter is bad, duck fat is good? That being said, eating more fruits and veggies cannot be a bad thing, and grass […]
Chicken & Fluffy Dumplings Recipe
Chicken & Dumplings has a few versions, depending upon where you’re from and what the regional interpretation is. I like the 2 versions I’ve done, with flat dumplings and with fluffy dumplings- my kids LOVE the fluffy dumpling version because it exists traditionally sans vegetables. If you don’t have chicken and stock ready, you can […]
