Can’t believe I’ve not posted this recipe yet. Daddy’s in town for a few weeks and I decided to make a pot of chili today. I know the recipe by heart, but couldn’t believe I hadn’t posted it on the blog. Chili is one of those things where everyone has their own version. This is a good base – add and take away at will!
- 1 lb. Lean Ground Beef
- 1 Medium Onion Chopped
- 1 14.5 oz can Diced Tomatoes
- 1 15 oz Can Dark Red Kidney Beans
- 2 15 oz Can Chili Beans in Sauce Kuner's Brand - see image
- 1 32 ox Can Tomato Juice
- 3 Tbsp Chili Powder
Brown hamburger and onion in a large dutch oven - drain if necessary but lean beef is generally ok.
Add in rest of ingredients and stir well - let simmer minimum of 2 hours.
Serve with shredded cheese, sour cream and saltines.
